Cleaner swaps without scare scores

Want a better option? Compare on the criteria your household actually cares about — then shop with disclosure, not panic.

Two similar household product bottles side by side for a calm comparison

“Cleaner” is a marketing word until you define it. Cleaner for what — fragrance, a dye, palm, packaging, price, or a clinician’s note? Scare scores flatten all of that into one red bar. Households deserve a sharper tool.

Define the swap before you hunt

Write one sentence: “Same job, less X, within $Y.” Example: same dish soap job, less heavy fragrance, under ten dollars. Now you can reject 90% of “detox” recommendations that change the job entirely.

Compare like a household, not a leaderboard

  • Same use case (leave-on skin vs rinse-off vs food).
  • Same constraints (budget, store, kid-safe storage).
  • Honest tradeoffs (performance, scent preference, packaging).

IngreView bias: when we show shop links, they are disclosed. Brands cannot buy a better fit score. Labeled maker presence is different from buying the verdict.

What we refuse to copy

We don’t sell detox protocols from a barcode. We don’t pretend a single number replaces your judgment. We do help you remember what you kept, see labeled Official replies from makers, and read expert takes that stay on real products.

Explore guides, why scores aren’t for sale, or get started.

Educational context only — not medical, dietary, or allergy advice. Always verify allergens and safety-critical information on the product package and with qualified professionals when needed.
