Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the IngreView mobile application and related websites at ingreview.com (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
IngreView provides tools to scan or look up product ingredients, generate informational analyses, save a personal collection, compare products, manage preferences, and (when enabled) view disclosed shopping links. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Not medical advice
Content in IngreView — including AI-generated analysis, community notes, and expert takes — is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, dietary, allergy, dermatological, or safety advice. Always read the physical product label and consult qualified professionals for health decisions. Do not rely on the Service as your sole source for allergen or hazard information.
3. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or older if required where you live).
- You must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Guest mode may have limited sync and features.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service or violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Service, probe systems without authorization, or disrupt availability.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harmful content.
- Attempt to reverse engineer the Service except where law permits.
- Use automated scraping in ways that overload or bypass rate limits.
- Misrepresent AI outputs as professional advice or certified guarantees.
- Manipulate community signals, affiliate tracking, or contribution systems fraudulently.
5. Your content
You retain rights to content you submit (photos, notes, scans, community posts). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Service (including sending images/text to AI processors when you request analysis, and showing public posts you choose to publish). You represent you have the rights to content you upload. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
6. Subscriptions (Care / Pro)
- Paid Care / Pro features may be offered via Apple App Store or Google Play and managed with our billing partner.
- Prices, trial periods, and renewal terms are shown at purchase and controlled by the store’s subscription rules.
- Manage or cancel renewals in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
- Refunds are handled under Apple / Google policies unless we state otherwise in writing.
7. Affiliate links & third parties
The Service may display links to retailers and marketplaces (for example Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and others). We may earn commissions from qualifying purchases as described in our Affiliate Disclosure. Third-party sites have their own terms and privacy practices.
8. Intellectual property
The IngreView name, branding, software, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. Feedback you send may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AI OUTPUTS, OCR, BARCODE LOOKUPS, AND COMMUNITY CONTENT MAY BE INCOMPLETE OR INCORRECT.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50. Some regions do not allow certain limits; in those places, limits apply only as allowed.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits) will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence apply. Courts in that jurisdiction may hear disputes except where prohibited.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with an updated date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app or by email when practical. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are a practical baseline for shipping the app and applying to partner programs (including Amazon Associates). Have a lawyer review for your entity structure and region before large-scale commercial launch.
